President's Report
Dear CSI Mississippi Members,
Our chapter's greatest strength has always been the volunteers who step up to serve on our Board of Directors. Through their leadership, time, and passion, they shape our programs, foster connections, and add real value to our local construction community.
As we look toward the coming year, we're looking for members who want to get more involved by joining our board. Volunteer board members are essential to keep our chapter healthy and moving forward. They guide our mission, plan fun and meaningful events, support certification and education, and make sure CSI Mississippi stays vibrant and welcoming. Simply put, we thrive because people like you are willing to lead.
Volunteering offers the chance to grow your professional network, strengthen leadership and communication skills, and gain a broader understanding of our industry. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, help shape the future of our chapter, and make a tangible impact on the professional lives of others. Many board members will tell you that the relationships they’ve built and the sense of purpose they’ve found through service have been among the most meaningful parts of their CSI journey.
If you’ve ever considered stepping into a leadership role or if you’re simply curious about what board service looks like, I encourage you to reach out. Talk with any current board member about their experience, the responsibilities involved, and how your unique strengths could contribute to our chapter’s continued success.

Golf Tournament
The 23rd annual Mississippi CSI Spring Golf Tournament was a great event. The Golf was good and the weather was great. The crawfish was a hit and no one left hungry. The best part was the chance to get together again and just have a good time.
If you missed it, be looking for information concerning next year's tournament. You don't want to miss it.
Board Meeting Bytes
May 4, 2026 - A quorum was present.
- Treasurers Report: The report for April was reviewed and approved. Motion to approve as submitted was made & seconded. All voted aye and motion passed.
- Programs: Benji Barham reported that programs are in place for the remainder of the year. He is working on July & August programs.
- Membership: Keith West was not present. No report.
- Electronic Communications: Randall Lewis reported that the website is current. No additional report.
- Certifications: Adam Haver has passed his CDT.
- Education: No report
- Planning: No report
- Academic Affairs: No report.
- Golf: we are already at 14 teams.
- New Business: None
